When I try to think of one word that sums up my feelings about photography and life in general it would have to be heritage. I have been involved in photography my entire life, it is something that was passed on to me by my father and is a trade that I work hard on together with my wife in our family business. When my father passed away I realized several things, he had left me with a great gift that would allow me to continue to have him as a part of my life for as long as I am around and also gave me something that I could share with my children. But more importantly I learned from him that what we do is document the heritage of people around us, and as cool as what we do sometimes can be in terms of capturing amazing images its even more important that we realize that every image we capture and share with people becomes part of their heritage, it becomes a part of their family history and the way their family and friends will look back and remember them. Because of that I dedicate myself to creating the best image I can every time I put the camera to my eye. I have done every type of photography imaginable in a professional capacity and have always done well (sports, editorial, fashion, weddings, seniors, maternity, infant, family, etc) because I know that every time I create an image not only am I representing my fathers memory and the pride of my entire family that works with me now and will hopefully run the business in the future, but I am creating the images that will represent generations! www.pwphotography.com Back to Mentors |
