Of all the different art mediums I have studied and created art with, one of my favorites has always been pastels. I have love the fact that you are painting and drawing at the same time when working in pastels. There is no drying time, and no turpentine involved. They can be very messy, but oh so tactile. :) And the COLORS are the best!!

I am thrilled to discover that we have some digital fine art papers available to us as photographers that work very well with the pastel medium. You don't have to be a free hand painter to play on your digital images with the new papers. I am busy experimenting and will be bringing samples of what I have discovered to the next After Dark.

What I will share will be appropriate for all experience levels. You will leave with some new tools for taking your images to the next level.

Bring some of your images for critique and input on which would be the best for this type of work.
