Don’s objective is to add balance to out of control situations, to be the voice of reason, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and concepts while reminding those in his care that there is a whole body of history and prior exploration bringing us to our modern understanding and definition of beauty. Don believes is that unrestrained exploration of new ideas is to be fostered and encouraged; however, we must never forget what has brought us to our current state of being and definition. Creative energy must be harnessed, not allowed to destroy. Given the current state of portrait photography one must not forget that just because we can doesn’t mean we should….
