Lindsay Goeckeritz, is a professional children’s photographer in Salt Lake City, Utah, and specializes in working with children with special needs. She became interested in photography in high school and enjoyed being on the yearbook staff.
Lindsay received her BS in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Utah. After teaching for several years, she moved to Virginia so that her husband could attend dental school. After having her first son, she decided to stop teaching and remain home. She quickly learned that being poor dental students meant, well, being poor! She dusted off her camera equipment, and started photographing the children of the other dental student families.
In 2008, after moving back to Utah, Lindsay decided to continue working and learning in the field of photography. Combining her teaching background with photography has allowed her to successfully work with children of all abilities. She is currently accredited with Special Kids Photography of America and is a Certified Professional Photographer.
Lindsay lives near the beautiful Wasatch Mountains with her husband, 3 (wild and crazy!) sons, and their golden retriever Gracie.
