How did you get started in the business? Who helped/guided/mentored you?
“I received a bar of soap shaped as a camera from an elderly lady at the age of 5…I still have it! A camera from the same lady at the age of 10..I still have it! I remember riding with family at an early age…and pointing out how the light was striking the land scape…and getting back blank stares. I married my highschool sweet heart…who took photographs of every sport I participated in while in highschool. I bought her a minolta 102 for a wedding gift…I read the manual (yeah…at least part of it) and had the camera in my hands there after. Attended Ohio Institute of Photography and met a teacher, Dick Cretcher..who encouraged me to persue my vision with passion! And my highschool sweet heart is still my best critic of any photography I do to this day!”
“I admire anyone…who has risen from little to reach their God given potential. I am inspired by photographers work that exudes emotion, passion, feeling and that gets out of the slow lane…and is on the creative edge. I draw inspiration from creation, surrounded by the beauty of the Big Sky state. Love architecture, design, art and the leaders of those fields! ‘We need to strive to use our gifts and abilities full and with passion to the best of our abilities! Not only is that a great blessing but a great responsibility!’ “
