Brianna Graham is a unique voice in the visual art of photography. She is an internationally recognized portrait artist, specializing in children, families, and high school seniors. Brianna is passionate about photography and has owned her own business, offering custom imagery and high-end products, since 2003. Besides the magic of her eye for light and color, Brianna also emphasizes the concept of balancing the art and business of photography.

For the past 4 years, Brianna has taught workshops across the country and in 2010 went international with multiple workshops in Australia. Brianna also felt honored this year to have a feature story and the cover of the April issue of Professional Photographer Magazine. She has also been featured in a number of periodicals, including Rangefinder, with a cover story in November, 2006 and an article in August of 2009. In March, 2010, she enjoyed a platform presentation at the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas, and is happy to have done the same this year at Imaging USA 2011.

How did you get started in the business? Who helped/guided/mentored you?
“I got started in business 8 years ago. My daughter was just a baby… I started photographing her, and started receiving requests from friends, etc. My business grew rapidly, and I opened a studio within a year and a half… My business grew much faster than I could keep up with, and soon I had 5 employees and a full shooting schedule…”

From Brianna:
“I look to interior design for most of my visual inspiration, as well as antiquing, boutiques, and eclectic stores…for photographers that I do admire: Tim Walker, August Bradley. If you’re thinking about coming to another After Dark Event, remember you would have better access to more mentors the more you attend… more is just that — more.:)If you’ve never been to After Dark Before, Come with an open mind and drink a lot of coffee! ‘I’ve seen many troubles in my time, only half of which ever came true ~ Mark Twain. The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief ~ William Shakespeare ‘ “
